INDEPENDENT PHYSICAL EDUCATION (IPE)

We will once again be supporting families interested in participating in the CUSD Independent Physical Education program. If you plan to particpate in IPE for the 2026-27 school year, you will need to complete the linked form below. Please fill out the form and submit it for approval as you prepare for the upcoming school year. Approval must be obtained prior to a student’s participation in IPE. Physical copies of the form are no longer required or accepted.

The deadline to submit a completed application is August 8, 2026.

CUSD IPE Guidelines and Qualifications

IPE is intended for the Pre-Olympic, Elite or Nationally ranked athletes competing in an Individual sport at the highest level. Competing in and ranking in a lower level does not qualify for IPE. In addition to the qualifying Individual sports, team sports Synchornized Swimming, Rowing, and Hockey qualify for IPE.

Students MUST apply and qualify for IPE each year.
